RAMBANS (AGAVE) About the plant
•If the plant is in low temperature the quantity of fiber would be less but the quality would be fine.
•High breed plants leaf has only one throne, which is in the top.
•Low breed plants leaf has many thrones in all over edges.
•These plants grow less in big amount of water as compared they grow more in desert areas.
•After cutting, it takes about a period of one year to grow new leaves.
Availability of fiber
•The species of Rambans (Agave), commonly known or called aloe plants, are natives of America, Africa, India and in the south of Africa.
•There are 275 established species of agaves have been reported in India.
•Sisalana, Cantula, Cantala, Veracruz, Amaniensis, Angustiflia and Fucroydes are some species of Rambans.
•Sisalana is the most popular and occupies the largest area and produces highest quantity of fiber.
